There aren't any surprises on Friday's injury report, with the status of Jake Matthews and Roddy White not remarkably different from Thursday's injury report. As Friday's practice began, ESPN's Vaughn McClure reported that Jake Matthews was on the practice field working on planting his injured ankle. McClure noted that Matthews did not have his helmet with him on the field, but even limited participation is an upgrade for Matthews, so this is encouraging news. McClure also said that Roddy White was on the field in full practice gear.
After practice, Mike Smith confirmed to the media that Jake Matthews is definitely out for Sunday's game. Smith also said that Roddy White is probable for Sunday's game in Cincinnati.
Gabe Carimi has been taking plenty of reps at left tackle throughout the week. Regardless of his Pro Football Focus grade for Sunday's game, which seemed unduly harsh, I thought Carimi did fine filling in at left tackle on Sunday and I expect him to be better prepared and more comfortable against the Bengals this Sunday.
The Bengals have not yet released their injury report for today, either, but Coley Harvey, who covers the Bengals for ESPN, tweeted this as their practice was beginning.
At the start of Friday's walkthrough, Burfict, Green and Atkins are among those dressed. We'll see what it all means in a couple hours.

How are you feeling about Matthews sitting out and Carimi filling in at left tackle?
