The Falcons didn't wait long to make a move after their 16-10 win over the Miami Dolphins, waiving a kicker and replacing him with a linebacker.
The Falcons have signed LB Darin Drakeford and waived K Sergio Castillo

The move is a mild surprise considering that Castillo handled kicking and punting duties in the first game and appeared to do just fine at both, but neither Matt Bosher or Matt Bryant is going anywhere this season, so it makes a certain amount of sense.
Drakeford, 23, hasn't registered a regular season snap yet, but has had stints with the Chiefs and Colts since going undrafted out of Maryland in 2013. He's likely going to be little more than a camp body in the weeks ahead, and I wouldn't anticipate him sticking around beyond the first round of cuts.
Injury appears to be a factor here. It's not clear how long Tim Dobbins is going to be out, but the Falcons apparently feel they're currently short on linebackers, and considering Jacques Smith practiced today but suffered an injury and Pat Angerer is still out, they're probably on to something there.
It's an ankle for Tim Dobbins. Should be back soon, not terrible.
