It's tough to say how many snaps Jake Matthews will get tonight, but as the first round pick and a key cog on partially rebuilt offensive line, it's fair to say all eyes will be on him.
Whether you believe he's pure magic, to borrow from our own FalconsM5, or a promising rookie due to scuffle a bit in live action, you'll want to know how he fares in his first NFL preseason game. That's fair when you've invested the sixth overall selection into a tackle, particularly one that should be a starter from day one and someone who profiles to be the team's long-term left tackle.
So whether he gets a quarter, a half or a dozen snaps, keep a close eye on Matthews and see if his strong play in training camp carries over. If you don't want to keep your eyes glued to the rookie, just watch the line, which must improve if the Falcons are going to put together a better offensive showing in 2014.
Who's your Falcon to watch?
