Fact: Matt Ryan's eyes are a beautiful shade of ocean green

Falcons training camp officially kicked off today. After months of gross extrapolation, we can finally bring you some quality content. Training camp kicked off with a bang this morning, and the Falcons got in a good day of work. Don't read too much into any of what happens in these first few days, the Falcons are just feeling out the existing personnel. But here's a quick rundown:

First, the Falcons are officially over Michael Vick. Well, to be clear, they're over not using his former number. Today marks the first time it's been used since he tried to ruin the franchise his untimely departure.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p><a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Falcons?src=hash">#Falcons</a> issue Michael Vick’s No. 7 for first time since he left the team. <a href="http://t.co/RUTBjCiudR">http://t.co/RUTBjCiudR</a></p>&mdash; D. Any doubt about Jon Asamoah's strength? If he doesn't have a problem tossing Tyson Jackson around, I'm thinking it won't be a problem. Good grief, that's a lot of man he's chucking around the football field.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>Love the way Jon Asamoah was trying to toss around Tyson Jackson. That&#39;s not easy.</p>&mdash; vaughn mcclure (@vxmcclure23) <a href="https://twitter.com/vxmcclure23/statuses/492777057580253184">July 25, 2014</a></blockquote>

Think the fans are happy to see Julio Jones on the field? To be honest, I wake up and applaud him every day, just because. And you should too.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>Pretty much anything Julio does is getting applause. I think he sneezed a minute ago and a few fans clapped it up. <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/aftc14?src=hash">#aftc14</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/RiseUp?src=hash">#RiseUp</a></p>&mdash; Jay Adams (@FalconsJAdams) <a href="https://twitter.com/FalconsJAdams/statuses/492766415410462720">July 25, 2014</a></blockquote>

Do the Falcons prefer Josh Wilson over Robert McClain? Today they did, as McClain didn't take the first team nickel snaps. But really, who doesn't love a little competition? Remember, Wilson was kicking butt and taking names before a nasty concussion last season.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>Looks like Josh Wilson first up at nickel.</p>&mdash; vaughn mcclure (@vxmcclure23) <a href="https://twitter.com/vxmcclure23/statuses/492774743389790209">July 25, 2014</a></blockquote>

Apparently Kroy Biermann and Jake Matthews met. A brief scuffle ensued, with at least one punch being thrown. Friends!

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>Just as I say that, Matthews and Biermann get into a bit of a donnybrook. <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/aftc14?src=hash">#aftc14</a></p>&mdash; Jay Adams (@FalconsJAdams) <a href="https://twitter.com/FalconsJAdams/statuses/492776148624228353">July 25, 2014</a></blockquote>

Not saying I called Bernard Reedy, but I kinda did. Hopefully the kid makes a name for himself, the Falcons could use some receiving depth.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>With Darius Johnson waived, maybe undrafted rookie Bernard Reedy has a real opportunity here.</p>&mdash; vaughn mcclure (@vxmcclure23) <a href="https://twitter.com/vxmcclure23/statuses/492714305868267520">July 25, 2014</a></blockquote>
