Vaughn McClure has the latest on what I'm calling Search for the Inside Linebacker 2014.
Veteran ILB Tim Dobbins to visit the Falcons, source says. http://t.co/aivTIMYXJi

To clarify with Dobbins, he is scheduled to visit the Falcons today.

It's fair to say that Dobbins is possibly the least inspiring option that Ian Rapoport listed last night, but it would be like the Falcons to consider him. Dobbins is a 31-year-old journeyman who has played for the Texans, Chargers and Dolphins, with McClure noting that he's considered a special teams standout and he once nearly killed Jay Cutler.
Dobbins projects as veteran depth with the Falcons, if this visit does turn into a signing, which is far from a sure thing. If the Falcons like his special teams value, that may be enough to bring him on, especially if they're confident the Paul Worrilow, Joplo Bartu and Prince Shembo trifecta can handle the majority of the snaps inside.
