Falcons June 10th OTA News Roundup

Here's your roundup of today's OTA news.

Kevin Liles-USA TODAY Sports

The Falcons permitted the media to observe OTAs today, so we can actually get an idea of what's going on with the Falcons.

There's some really great stuff in this breakdown from D. Orlando Ledbetter of the AJC. Genuinely. Sounds like Devonta Freeman took first team snaps, and it also sounds like Steven Jackson was not thrilled about it. Also, Josh Wilson is taking first team snaps at nickel.

Antone Smith is trying on an expanded role this offseason, so that's something to keep an eye on in minicamp and training camp.

Julio Jones, Sean Weatherspoon, and Corey Peters all spent practice working with trainers.

Matt Ryan is apparently throwing some balls to Julio, which is good for their timing.

As Dave noted earlier, Roddy White was back with the team today. He will not speak to the media today, but he does seem to be in classic Roddy form.

Matt Ryan also had some praise for Devin Hester.

Robbie Rosenhaus from Atlanta's 92.9 the Game had some good observations on Robert Alford, Paul Worrilow and Dwight Lowery.

Rosenhaus said that Jake Matthews didn't have the best day, but he is a rookie. The speed of the pro game is a big adjustment.

We'll have more updates as they become available. Discuss OTAs in the comments!
