The Atlanta Falcons have not made a habit of playing tolerable preseason games, but we'll hope for better with the 2014 schedule.
The NFL just released the slate for all 32 NFL teams, and the Falcons have some familiar opponents on their preseason docket this August. Here's the full preseason scheduled for Atlanta:
Week 1, August 7-10: Miami Dolphins
Week 2, August 14-18: @Houston Texans
Week 3, August 21-24: Tennessee Titans
Week 4, August 28: @Jacksonville Jaguars
This is a nice slate, featuring four teams that could possibly be on the rise if they nail their drafts. The Falcons need the challenge this preseason, and they may want to swap a few players back and forth with the Jaguars in the fourth week before the season begins. This team has a ton to prove, and they can get started by turning in something other than their usual trainwreck of a preseason. I'm sure we would all enjoy that.
