Joplo Bartu, #59
2013 stats: 85 tackles, 3.5 sacks, 1 pass deflection
The other dynamic UDFA rookie linebacker for 2013, Bartu was overshadowed at times by Paul Worrilow's tackle numbers. It's fair to argue that he may actually have been the better player in 2013, and certainly it's hard not to have high hopes for the athletic freak in 2014 and beyond.
Bartu will likely get a little run inside and outside in the Falcons' hopefully rebuilt lienbacking corps, but rushing off the edge might just be his best role.I don't expect him to be a starter, and like Worrilow, there are legitimate questions about his coverage and his consistency. However, his athleticism and ability should allow him to carve out a real role.
Go ahead and project Bartu's 2014 season. Use stats, use role or use hairstyle. It's up to you.
