Ian Rapoport of NFL Network brings good news, reporting Atlanta met with a highly-projected pass rusher.
The #Falcons are hosting Boise St. DE Demarcus Lawrence today. Got a busy schedule, with visits to #Patriots, #Jets, #Saints, #Cowboys, etc

Sounds like Thomas Dimitroff may finally draft a pass rusher higher than the fourth round. At the very least, improving Atlanta's anemic rush may finally be a priority.
Lawrence is an impressive prospect who has been getting plenty of interest recently. The 6-foot-3, 251-pound had a disappointing combine but professional tape watchers like him. Kevin Weidl of Scouts Inc. had plenty of positive things to say about the former Bronco.
His biggest upside comes as a pass-rusher. Lawrence has ideal length, above-average first step quickness, active hands and most important displays tremendous flexibility throughout his torso. This allows him to not only transition speed-to-power but also provides him the ability to bend the edge and finish at the top of his rush which is not often seen at the collegiate level.
Rotoworld expects Lawrence to be selected in the late first or early second round, making him a potential target at 37th overall. Dane Brugler of CBS Sports mocked him to the Saints in the first round after he was very impressed with Lawrence's tape.
Finally received Boise St. game film in the mail today, was able to finish Demarcus Lawrence's scouting report. This kid is a 1st rounder

I could see Lawrence as a target if Atlanta ends up with an offensive tackle or Johnny Football at 6th overall. I don't know who it will be, I just hope we draft someone Drake rapped about.
