Claude Humphrey Elected To Hall of Fame

Falcons great defensive lineman Claude Humphrey finally gets a well-deserved honor.

The Hall of Fame gets its first true Falcon today as Claude Humphrey has finally gotten in as a senior selection.

Humphrey played for the Falcons from 1968 to 1978, taking a break in 1975 (I don't know why) and also played for the Eagles from 1979 to 1981. With the two teams, he amassed 126.5 sacks, 6 Pro Bowl selections and 8(!) All-Pro selections, 5 First-team and 3 Second-team.

It's safe to say he's one of the all-time great pass rushers in Falcons history, and if we found another one like him I'd be plenty excited.

Join me in congratulating the first true Falcon to make it into the Hall of Fame!
