Despite projections early in the week that Robert Alford might be ready to take the field against the Packers on Monday night, the Falcons have ruled Alford out for Monday's game as his broken wrist continues to heal. The hope was that Alford would return to practice in a limited capacity on Thursday after being fitted for a game-ready cast on Tuesday, but Alford was held out of practice all week.
Roddy White returned to practice in a limited capacity on Saturday. He is listed as questionable for Monday's game. Also listed as questionable is Stansly Maponga, who suffered an ugly elbow injury last week against the Cardinals. Maponga has been limited in practice all week, but the fact that he was on the practice field, even limited, is encouraging based on how bad the injury looked at the time.
After being limited on Friday, both Justin Blalock and Harry Douglas were upgraded to full practice on Saturday. Both Douglas and Blalock are listed as probable for Monday's game.
For the Packers, both guards were limited on Saturday with injuries. T.J. Lang has an ankle injury, and Josh Sitton has a toe injury. Despite being limited today, both are listed as probable for Monday's game. Cornerback Sam Shields is dealing with a concussion and was not able to practice at all this week. Shields is questionable for Monday's game.
