The Atlanta Falcons secured an important victory against the Arizona Cardinals Sunday afternoon. And with that win, they've moved up in SB Nation's weekly power rankings. This week they're up 2 spots to 22nd, one spot ahead of the New Orleans Saints.
There is some movement at the top and at the bottom of these rankings. The Oakland Raiders are now ranked 32nd, and the Falcons' opponent this week, the Green Bay Packers, are now ranked 1st.

These rankings feel about right, given the current state of affairs. To be frank, they're just a tool. They're a way of comparing your favorite team with the rest of the league. But in reality, this isn't a college playoff. The Falcons really just need to win their division, and by all accounts, including these rankings, they're the best team in their division right now. For now, that's enough.
