The Atlanta Falcons lost yet another game today, falling to 5-9 and ruining Dave's sobriety. They will need to be perfect from here on out. It's certainly possible for them to beat the Saints and Panthers, but it won't be easy, especially if they're banged up.
There were injuries today. Let's break them down.
Harry Douglas tweaked his ankle in the 2nd quarter while reaching for a first down. He left the field, then quickly made his way back onto the field. He wasn't 100 percent going into the game, and he's struggled to stay healthy all year. With Julio Jones negotiating a hip injury, it'd be a bad time to lose Douglas. Luckily he apparently bounced back from whatever was ailing him.
He wasn't injured per se, but Matt Ryan was absolutely rocked in the second quarter. The defensive end that laid him out went completely unblocked. To be frank, I'm not sure how Ryan walked away from that without a concussion.
Jon Asamoah was replaced by Gabe Carimi just before halftime. He had a back injury. I'll give it Asamoah, he has stayed pretty healthy this year, but as of late, the grind is getting to him. Let's hope for a swift recovery.
Josh Wilson was banged up late in the game, injuring his hand and earning a "return questionable" designation. It first appeared he hurt his arm, so if there's a silver lining, it's that he only hurt his hand. He actually went to the locker room before returning to the sideline.
