The foot injury that kept wide receiver Harry Douglas on the sideline for much of the first half of the season continues to plague him, as he was held out of Wednesday's practice. Receiver/return specialist Devin Hester was also sidelined on Wednesday with an ankle injury, and tackle Jonathan Scott did not practice Wednesday as he is dealing with a hamstring injury. Right guard Justin Blalock and occasional pass rusher Jonathan Massaquoi were both limited in Wednesday's practice with foot injuries.
Per Vaughn McClure of ESPN.com, head coach Mike Smith said that he expects Devin Hester to return to practice in a limited capacity on Thursday.
Smith said Hester will be limited tomorrow. Blalock (foot) also was limited on Wednesday

Aside from Jonathan Scott, the remainder of these injured players are key guys who need to be at full strength or close to it against a talented but inconsistent Panthers team on Sunday. Here's hoping for improvement tomorrow.
