Devin Hester and Harry Douglas did not practice Wednesday. Head coach Mike Smith said Hester is dealing with a hamstring injury, while Douglas remains sidelined with his foot issue.
Five players from the Atlanta Falcons were limited in practice. According to Knox Bardeen of Fox Sports, Justin Blalock, Kemal Ishmael, Julio Jones, Jake Matthews and Prince Shembo all saw limited reps.
Blalock's participation is promising after he missed Week 5. His back injury will likely keep him limited for several days, but if he continues to get work in there's a good chance we will see him in action against the Chicago Bears.
ESPN"s Vaughn McClure tweeted earlier that Smith doesn't think Hester's status is up in the air for Sunday. Surely Hester wants to be on the field to face his former team. I would be surprised if we didn't see him play at all. Our own Jeanna Thomas said Smith seemed confident that Hester will play.
We'll have more on the injury front as news comes in. Fortunately the group seems in good shape for the most part.
