Falcons Off the Field: Sean Weatherspoon

Sean Weatherspoon will host his second-annual Celebrity Waiter Night at Ocean Prime in Buckhead on November 10th to benefit his foundation, SPOONful of Hope.

Sean Weatherspoon's foundation, SPOONful of Hope, does a lot of great work to benefit others. Their SPOON Feed a Family program provides a fun day out in Atlanta as well as ingredients for a Thanksgiving meal to families in need. Other programs provide school supplies to children in need at the beginning of the school year, address mid-year clothing and supply needs for school-aged children in need, and engage families and schools to work together to promote literacy.

To help fund these endeavors, Weatherspoon will host his second-annual Celebrity Waiter Night at Ocean Prime in Buckhead on November 10th, 2014 beginning with a cocktail hour at 7:00 p.m. I attended this event last year, and it was incredible. Many Falcons players served as celebrity bartenders and waiters to support Spoon's efforts, and it was a great opportunity for fans to mingle with players in a social context, get photos and autographs, bid on amazing silent auction items, and enjoy an evening of great food, drinks, and fun.

Tickets are available via SeanWeatherspoon.org. Single tickets are $250 per person, and VIP tickets are available for $350 per person. The VIP ticket includes a signature series Falcons football for player autographs. This price includes a three-course Ocean Prime meal, fine wine, and the entire experience.

SPOONful of Hope has a stated goal of positively impacting the lives of at least 150,000 at-risk youth in the greater Atlanta metro area by the end of 2016. Hopefully this event will help them make significant progress toward this goal. I will be covering the event again this year, and I hope to see some of our readers there!

UPDATE: SPOONful of Hope is offering special pricing for this event through the weekend!
