Left guard Justin Blalock, who is dealing with a lower back injury suffered in last week's matchup with Minnesota, and Harry Douglas, who has been working through a foot injury for the past couple of weeks, were both held out of Friday's practice. Both players are confirmed to be out for Sunday's game against the GiantsHarland Gunn is expected to get the start at left guard for Blalock. Gunn has been taking first team snaps at left guard all week at practice.

Head coach Mike Smith shared with the media after practice that the coaching staff have been rotating the healthy offensive line players this week in practice, saying, "It's very important for us to have a plan A, plan B, and plan C." Obviously a situation where a team ends up with only four healthy offensive linemen on the active roster is a worst case scenario, but the team is working to ensure the team is prepared for any contingency. Smith said the team has had a good week of practice, and he expects the offense to get out there and move the football regardless of which personnel are on the field along the offensive line.

The other players who were listed on the week five injury report, Julio Jones (ankle), Devin Hester (ankle), Kemal Ishmael (ankle), and Prince Shembo (knee) all practiced fully on Friday and are listed as probable for Sunday's game.
