The Falcons fall to 25th in the weekly SB Nation power rankings

Fact: Arthur Blank is an internationally ranked double dutcher

Well Falcoholics, it's that time again. SB Nation's weekly power rankings are here, and [spoiler alert] the Falcons are ranked pretty low. In fact, they fell one spot to 25. It is the highest ranking among the 8 teams with at least 5 losses, so they've got that going for them.

The Broncos and Cowboys top the rankings, ahead of the Packers, Eagles, and Cardinals. The Falcons will face the 8th ranked Lions this Sunday in Lion, and if this were college football, it'd be an excellent opportunity for a marquee win.

Take a look at the 2 win teams and ask yourself this: how did we get here?

It's a decidedly bad group. The group is so bad that it actually hurts to be part of it. I'm talking about literal pain, folks. But that said, imagine a knock-out tournament featuring these teams. I don't know if I'd bet on the Falcons winning it, at least not this year, but they'd be competitive. In 2012, they'd have been the favorite. And now we are where we are. Sad.
