Atlanta Falcons Stats Projections From The Quarter Season Mark

New, comments

A look at what kind of numbers the Falcons might put up over the rest of the year.

Bruce Kluckhohn-USA TODAY Sports

We looked at some of the key offensive performers last week to see what numbers they were on pace for after a ridiculous blowout against the Buccaneers. We're now at the quarter season mark, so it's time to take a look at the entire team and see what they're on pace to do on offense and defense, both individually and as a team.

Suffice to say the defensive numbers are not pretty, and the offensive numbers took a small but real hit after the carnage against the Vikings. Let's turn our eyes firmly forward now.

Offense

524 points, 7,104 total yards, 1,948 rushing yards, 5,156 passing yards

QB Matt Ryan: 404/608, 5,052 yards, 40 touchdowns, 20 interceptions, 66.4% completion percentage

RB Steven Jackson: 200 rushing attempts, 804 yards, 4.0 YPA, 4 touchdowns, 16 catches, 80 yards
RB Jacquizz Rodgers: 68 rushing attempts, 260 yards, 3.8 YPA, 4 touchdowns, 24 catches, 156 yards
RB Antone Smith: 40 attempts, 476 yards, 11.9 YPA, 8 touchdowns, 12 catches, 292 yards, 4 receiving TDs
RB Devonta Freeman: 60 attempts, 140 yards, 2.3 YPA, 28 catches, 236 yards

FB Patrick DiMarco: 16 catches, 144 yards, 4 touchdowns

WR Julio Jones: 116 catches, 1,788 yards, 15.4 YPR, 12 touchdowns
WR Roddy White: 56 catches, 748 yards, 13.4 YPR, 8 touchdowns
WR Harry Douglas: 48 catches, 484 yards, 10.1 YPR, 4 touchdowns
WR Devin Hester: 48 catches, 784 yards, 16.3 YPR, 4 touchdowns
WR Eric Weems: 16 catches, 196 yards, 17.3 YPR
WR Courtney Roby: 4 catches, 44 yards, 11 YPR

TE Levine Toilolo: 32 catches, 276 yards, 8.6 YPR, 4 touchdowns

Defense/Special Teams

448 points allowed, 6,876 total yards allowed, 2,456 rushing yards allowed, 4,420 passing yards allowed, 12 sacks, 8 interceptions, -3 turnover ratio

DE/LB Kroy Biermann: 88 tackles
DE/LB Osi Umenyiora: 24 tackles
DE/LB Jonathan Massaquoi: 32 tackles, 4 sacks
DE/LB Stansly Maponga: 8 tackles, 4 sacks
DE/DT Jonathan Babineaux: 28 tackles
DE/DT Corey Peters: 32 tackles, 4 sacks
DE/DT Malliciah Goodman: 16 tackles, 4 forced fumbles
DE/DT Tyson Jackson: 24 tackles
DE/DT Ra'Shede Hageman: 8 tackles
NT Paul Soliai: 36 tackles
DE Cliff Matthews: 4 tackles
ILB Paul Worrilow: 176 tackles, 4 forced fumbles
ILB Joplo Bartu: 84 tackles
ILB Prince Shembo: 68 tackles
ILB Nate Stupar: 20 tackles
CB Desmond Trufant: 44 tackles,
CB Robert Alford: 60 tackles,
CB Robert McClain: 68 tackles,
CB Josh Wilson: 4 tackles,
FS Dwight Lowery: 92 tackles
SS William Moore: 16 tackles, 1 forced fumble (injury)
S Kemal Ishmael: 60 tackles, 4 interceptions
S Dezmen Southward: 16 tackles

K Matt Bryant: 16/20 FGs, 80%
P Matt Bosher: 64 punts, 47.3 yards per punt, 32 touchbacks, 20 punts inside 20, 4 tackles

Devin Hester: 36 kick returns, 920 yards, 25.6 YPR, 24 punt returns, 367 yards, 15.3 YPR, 4 touchdowns

Those defensive numbers are skewed mightily by the lack of sacks and turnovers thus far, some of which will fall into place by chance. You can't deny that's ugly, though.

What kind of numbers do you project for this team going forward?
