The Atlanta Falcons are coaching the Senior Bowl, which is taking place on January 25th. They have a handful of highly-regarded prospects
Take a gander at the North roster for the Senior Bowl. While there's several borderline prospects here, there's also intriguing players who could fit the Falcons' roster. While I fully expect you to share your favorite prospects with me, here's my list of North roster players to keep an eye on. Keep in mind that the Falcons like to mine the Senior Bowl for players, something they've proven again and again with Thomas Dimitroff at the helm.
Here's a partial list of intriguing prospects.
Cyril Richardson, G
Baylor's giant, dominant offensive lineman piled up accolades during his college career. At 6'5" and 335 pounds, he'd be a massive upgrade and a massive guard on a line that many think lacks size. A potential second round pick, if he makes it that far. He's insanely strong and would serve as the team's 2014 solution at right guard.
Ra'Shede Hageman, DT
The Minnesota defensive tackle is one of my favorites prospects at the position. Extremely tough player who fits the Falcons' habit of selecting penetrating DTs with some pass rushing acumen. He's nto the huge nose tackle type that so many Falcons fans are clamoring for, but he's a hell of a player.
Michael Sam, DE/OLB
Piled up 10.5 sacks for the Missouri Tigers this last season. Great athlete, probably a 4-3 OLB at the NFL level unless he bulks up. Could be a nice fit for the Falcons in the second round, if the team addresses other needs first.
Kain Colter, WR
A very athletic converted quarterback from Northwestern, Colter was a true weapon in college. He caught touchdown passes, threw them and ran them in. As a wide receiver and returner, he could be an asset for the Falcons, and he should be available fairly late in the draft.
Gator Hoskins, TE
His name is Gator.
Who have you got your eyes on?
