- Jonathan Babineaux
- Sam Baker
- Julio Jones
- Asante Samuel
- Sean Weatherspoon
- Roddy White
How many of these guys will actually play? Roddy White and Julio Jones should both suit up, but White in particular seems likely to be limited. Babineaux and 'Spoon should be good to go, but it's not exactly encouraging that Babs didn't practice Wednesday and Thursday. If Babs can't go, Peria Jerry and Corey Peters would carry the load. If 'Spoon can't go, Kroy Biermann would likely kick back to linebacker full-time.
I'm more confident that Samuel will play this week, giving the Falcons a fearsome 1-4 at cornerback. Sam Baker is a true question mark, having not practiced until Friday while trying to heal up from a knee injury. Again, I'm hopeful he can go, but if not the Falcons will likely roll with Lamar Holmes on the left side and Jeremy Trueblood on the right. That doesn't inspire confidence.
Ultimately, I'd bet nearly everyone makes it on to the field, but lacking Babs or Baker would be deeply unfortunate.
The one silver lining? While I hate for injury to confer any advantage, the Rams' Chris Long is questionable. Without him, the Rams would be missing one half of their formidable pass rushing DE duo, which would ease the load on the offensive line.
