The Falcons have three young defensive ends gunning for significant roles in 2013: Jonathan Massaquoi, Malliciah Goodman and Stansly Maponga. Not one of those guys has distinguished himself thus far.

Depending on who your source is and what day, you may have heard that Massaquoi was the most impressive early, or this gem from Knox Bardeen:

When it comes time to rip apart first-stringers, though, nobody has been a true standout. I've believed since Goodman was drafted that his potentially elite physical talent will carry him a long way, but it's one thing to dominate backups and another thing to smack down starters. Massaquoi has held his own against first-stringers, and Maponga just hasn't done a lot yet as he comes back from a foot injury.
This battle will clarify as we move forward, but all of these guys have work to do.
