One Falcon To Watch: Paul Worrilow

The linebacker has been a hit this preseason, but it's time for him to sew up a roster spot.

Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

I've argued already that Paul Worrilow has a roster spot in a notoriously thin Atlanta Falcons linebacking corps. Whether you agree with that or not, there's no denying that Worrilow has impressed.

The third preseason game is a crucial one for Worrilow, no matter what you think of him. A third straight strong performance would virtually guarantee a roster spot, but coupled with quality practices it would help establish the pecking order at linebacker.

That's because things are mighty unsettled behind the starters, and depending on who you ask it might even be unsettled at starter outside of Sean Weatherspoon. A truly strong preseason could mean Paul Worrilow is the first guy off the bench with his blend of athleticism, tackling ability and coverage skills. Or it could not, but he can certainly help himself tonight.

What do you expect from Worrilow in this one?
