At this point, Peria Jerry has been mocked in nearly every way possible. He has become a pariah, a punchline and a convenient target for frustration from fans. Underachieving as a first round pick will have that effect.
Some of this is out of Jerry's control, and it's fair to wonder how much of an effect the injury had on his career. Yet that abuse will keep coming until he starts playing well consistently or he gets cut. I'm betting the latter will be coming sooner than we might suspect.
The Falcons have a lot of young talent at defensive tackle, two established starters in Jonathan Babineaux and Corey Peters and not a ton of time for Jerry. So I ask you, will he be cut before the season starts?
Sound off!
