I thought I'd collect a few of the positive and a couple of the negative reactions to the contract extension for Ryan and pile them up here. Just doing my duty, y'all.
Only thing I don't like about the Matt Ryan deal: I wish they would have extended him for 10.

Is Matt Ryan worth the $$? Absolutely. These deals are mostly about timing. Bottom line: He's a franchise QB. Those are invaluable. #Falcons

I’m #TeamMattRyan; I’m glad he got paid, and I don’t give a good gotdamn WHO don’t like it. #Falcons. That is all.

Seriously. You can't possibly understand what it was like to love the Falcons before Ryan came here. I would have NO ONE be our QB over him.

HE ONLY HAS ONE PLAYOFF WIN "@TheFalcoholic: Report: Matt Ryan Signs Five-Year, $103 Million Contract Extension http://t.co/bQfMRX6fgr"

Folks that don't understand why teams are "overpaying" their franchise QB's is beyond me.

@TheFalcoholic Exactly. It was a great deal both for Ryan and the Falcon community. Can't wait for this season. #RiseUp

#Falcons QB Matt Ryan TD passes by season: 2008 (16), 2009 (22), 2010 (28), 2011 (29), 2012 (32) #NFL

Falcons' cap shouldn't be killed by Ryan deal. Just means they can't give out $57M deals to FAs like Dunta Robinson. #NotABadThing
— Aaron Freeman (@falcfans) July 25, 2013
The last time the #Falcons took a financial leap like this was in 2004. Let's hope this goes better.
