It was obvious that Dirk Koetter wanted a more aggressive offense in 2012, but it wasn't a seamless change from Mike Mularkey to The Knife.
The Falcons had a plodding back in Michael Turner who wasn't really a passing game asset, and they were still figuring out that offensive identity. A year later, with a back that fits the offense better and Julio Jones one more year into his plans for world domination, they should be able to open things up at least a crack.
The 2013 Falcons defense shouldn't be shy about attacking opposing defenses, given their weaponry. The defense is still a work in progress, and even if it takes a couple of steps forward this season, the Falcons are going to have to hang points on the best teams in the league in order to beat them. Attacking is the way to go, here.
