It's time to start projecting
It would be hard to find an acquisition that seemed more inevitable than Steven Jackson, who had been linked to the Falcons for weeks leading up to his signing. At worst, S-Jax brings more to the starting job than Michael Turner did, with his ability to catch balls out of the backfield, even if he can't do much more as a runner than Burner. At best, he's a sizeable upgrade who can do a little bit of everything.
We won't know what S-Jax is capable of for these Falcons until he steps on the field, but we can certainly project what he'll do in 2013. I'm turning that task over to you, dear readers.
For my part, I'm guessing he'll do something like this:
250 rushes, 1,000 yards, 8 touchdowns, 45 catches, 350 yards, 2 touchdowns
