The Atlanta Falcons have a bit of a weakness at middle linebacker. It does us no good to sugarcoat it.
The good news is that the position is de-emphasized in Mike Nolan's defense, so a weakness here doesn't spell doom the way it might have in years past. The Falcons are going to use a middle linebacker as a part-time player, and that's probably for the best.
Dent is a useful player on running downs and Banks may have a ton of potential that we simply won't see for a little while, so there's upside here.
On The Roster
Akeem Dent (Starter)
Brian Banks (R)
Pat Schiller
Nick Clancy (R)
Paul Worrilow (R)
Joplo Bartu (R)
You'll note that I'm listing the rookies both inside and outside, because I don't know where the Falcons would line them up if they were to make the final roster.
Project away!
