Every year, we all get attached to our pet prospects. I'm as guilty as the next guy of falling in love with young players, as you can see by this handy list through the last few years:
- 2012: Jonathan Massaquoi...who I had going two rounds higher
- 2011: Justin Houston, who went two rounds later than I mocked to the Chiefs
- 2010: Sean Weatherspoon.
If you go all the way back to 2007, you'll see how obsessed I was with Auburn cornerback David Irons, and how thrilled I was when the Falcons drafted him. He didn't really do much.
The point is, we all get a little irrationally attached to our pet prospects. On this Tuesday morning, I'd love to hear from you who your best and worst pet prospects were over the years, and who your favorite is thus far in 2013. They can't be worse than my youthful obsession with Steve Broussard, right?
Share and share alike!
