2013 NFL Draft: Best Players Available After Three Rounds

And the ones that might interest the Falcons the most.

Tim Heitman-US PRESSWIRE

As we come into the third day of the NFL Draft, there's still plenty of quality prospects left. Some have fallen, either because of injury concerns, makeup issues or being overrated by analysts in the fist place. Others are actually underrated, and still others will probably only be rotational pieces or quality backups at the NFL level.

Here's a look at Dan Kadar's list of the top remaining prospects, a little abridged. Visit Mocking The Draft for the full list:

31. Jesse Williams | 6'3 3/8, 323 pounds | Defensive tackle | Alabama
43. Khaseem Greene | 6'0 3/4, 241 pounds | Outside linebacker | Rutgers
50. Alex Okafor | 6'4 1/2, 264 pounds | Defensive end | Texas
56. Matt Barkley | 6'2 1/2, 227 pounds | Quarterback | Southern California
58. Marcus Lattimore | 5'11 1/4, 221 pounds | Running back | South Carolina *
59. Jordan Poyer | 5'11 7/8, 197 pounds | Cornerback | Oregon State
60. Quinton Patton | 6'0, 204 pounds | Wide receiver | Louisiana Tech
63. Barrett Jones | 6'4, 305 pounds | Center | Alabama
64. Da'Rick Rogers | 6'2 1/4, 217 pounds | Wide receiver | Tennessee Tech *
71. Johnathan Franklin | 5'10, 205 pounds | Running back | UCLA
72. Shamarko Thomas | 5'10, 206 pounds | Safety | Syracuse
78. William Gholston | 6'6 1/4, 281 pounds | Defensive end | Michigan State *
80. Brian Schwenke | 6'3, 314 pounds | Center | California
81. Brandon Jenkins | 6'2, 251 pounds | Outside linebacker | Florida State

Now, for your consideration, my thoughts about the best remaining players for the Falcons to select.

Jesse Williams

I mean, he's pretty clearly one of the better players left, and he'd give the Falcons a true nose tackle to trot out on modified 3-4 fronts. There's no way he's making it to the Falcons, however.

Alex Okafor

Okafor has been mysteriously sliding for a while now. He's not the most high-upside pass rusher in the world, but he's someone I think could offer 6-8 sacks and enough pressure off the edge to make him a mighty useful player.

Khaseem Greene

Supremely athletic outside linebacker who could be an asset in coverage. Again, likely to be gone, but I'd be thrilled with Greene.

Jelani Jenkins

Another athletic linebacker prospect, Jenkins is excellent in coverage. Don't ask me why I originally wrote he was a pass rusher, and a thanks to @GBBZach on Twitter for the correction.

Sean Porter

The Falcons met with Porter, which would seem to be a good sign for his chances of winding up in Atlanta. He offers up athleticism and pass rushing potential.

Malliciah Goodman

You could plug half a dozen guys in here. I'm picking Goodman because he has size, speed and some upside as a 4-3 defensive end, but he'll need coaching. Nolan and Mike Smith would seem to be able to do that.

Ryan Otten

Your pet tight end prospect probably isn't Otten, but mine is. Point is, there's plenty of developmental tight ends still available.

Who are you keeping your eye on?
