The Pick That Wasn't: Kerry Meier Waived

Best of luck to the guy. Dealt with injury after injury and never had a chance to stick.

So our site has no pictures of Kerry Meier. Here's a picture of Rich McKay instead

Straight from the mother site, the Falcons have announced they have waived Kerry Meier, a player that showed so much promise but unfortuntely could never stay on the field.

This presumably opens up the opportunity for another receiver (or player in general) to try out for the team, be it a free agent or a draft pick.

Coming out of college, Meier had both WR and QB experience at Kansas and had good size that some fans described as "the next Brian Finneran". Unfortunately, a torn ACL put a halt to multiple seasons (I believe it was an ACL more than once) which caused his worth to the team to eventually just be nothing.

He had the physical tools to be successful, but ultimately suffered a string of bad luck that caused him to be cut by the team.

Best wishes to Meier, who hopefully will get a chance with another team.
