The Falcons will play their last game of the season without Sean Weatherspoon. The team's starting outside linebacker has played only seven games in 2013 due to injury, and unfortunately he and Jacquizz Rodgers (concussion) won't be suiting up Sunday.
This team is no stranger to these unfortunate kinds of injuries this season, but it still stings that 'Spoon worked so hard to come back off of short-term injured reserve and won't be able to go against the Panthers. The Falcons are playing for pride, they're playing for roster spots in 2014 and they're hoping to do what spoiling they can against Carolina. Obviously, missing a core special teamer and backup plus a starting linebacker diminishes those chances, but I expect they'll still fight like hell.
It has to hurt Sean Weatherspoon not to play in the season finale, considering how hard he worked to get back from a Lisfranc foot sprain.

Darius Johnson is also listed as questionable. Thoughts on the injuries?
