If Falcon fans were hoping for better draft positions by virtue of wins from the teams in front of them, no dice. The Jaguars, Browns, Raiders, Redskins and Buccaneers all dropped their games over the weekend.
That leaves the Falcons in an interesting, unsettled position. They currently sit at #7, but that's useless, because that's going to change after the game tonight. If the Falcons win, they'll move to the #8 pick, right behind the Minnesota Vikings. If they should win, they'll move up to #6, just ahead of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Either way, they're not moving much.
SBN broke down the current draft order here.
Please take this advice to heart: Don't worry too much about the draft order until the season is over. The final strength of schedule and win-loss record will help shake things out, and it's simply not worth fretting over until then. The Falcons will draft where they draft, and we'll hope for the best possible player to be selected. That's about all we can do.
