Falcons vs. 49ers: Friday Injury Report

Sean Weatherspoon, Darius Johnson and Zeke Motta were all held out of Friday's practice.

Friday's injury report has been released, and there's some bad news on it. Rookie safety Zeke Motta, who has filled in for Thomas DeCoud over the past couple of weeks, has been on the injury report for an extended time as he continues to deal with a broken hand. Motta suffered a neck injury in yesterday's practice, and was held out of today's practice. DeCoud completed the league's concussion protocol, and returned to full practices on Monday, so he will be ready and able to start against the Niners on Monday.

Sean Weatherspoon was held out of today's practice with a knee injury. Receiver Darius Johnson is dealing with a dreaded high ankle sprain, and was held out of today's practice as well.

Tony Gonzalez was limited in today's practice with the toe injury he's been managing for several weeks, but don't expect it to slow Gonzalez down on Monday. He has played through the injury since he sustained it, and he hasn't really missed a step.

Perhaps the best news on today's injury report was related to Antone Smith. The running back, who is averaging 29 yards per carry, has been dealing with a knee injury that he sustained in the Green Bay game. Smith did not practice Thursday, but was upgraded to limited practice today.

We'll know more about what to expect for Monday's game after the final injury report for the week is released tomorrow. Until then, how do you think these injuries will impact Atlanta against the 49ers?
