Roddy White Injury: Receiver Among At Least 5 Falcons Not At Practice

So much for the bye week. Getting grim real fast in Flowery Branch:

DOL is guessing a bit here, of course, because it's only Wednesday. Yet it's a good guess, given that none of these guys were suiting up and slapping helmets on earlier in the week. The Falcons are banged up even by their 2013 standards.

The Roddy White injury will be very costly for a team already down Julio Jones, as we all know. Akeem Dent's absence leaves the Falcons mighty thin at linebacker. Steven Jackson's slow return and Sam Baker's plodding recovery are ongoing causes for concern, even if Lamar Holmes and Jacquizz Rodgers have been filling in capably. Chase Coffman wasn't getting on the field anyways, but it'd still be nice to have another weapon.

That's the rundown. The official injury report is coming soon and may bring more ill tidings, but for now it's clear the Falcons are going to once again be riddled with injuries across the board and forced to cope. They haven't done a great job of that thus far, but there's still time.
