Mel Kiper Re-Grades The Atlanta Falcons 2012 Draft

The draft guru has a few things to say about

Daniel Shirey

I have long maintained that one year isn't enough time to evaluate a draft. Most of the known world disagrees with me on that front, judging from my Twitter timeline and Mel Kiper's continued employment.

Despite my stance, I'd be remiss if I didn't review Kiper's draft grade for the Falcons for the 2012 draft. It's behind the firewall at ESPN, but I managed to get behind it to bring you his grade. Are you ready for this?

C.

It's actually about the most accurate grade you can possibly give this draft. No first round or fourth round pick means limited player choices, and Bradie Ewing's injury means he gets an incomplete.

Peter Konz was a starter. Travian Robertson and Charles Mitchell showed flashes of promise. Jonathan Massaquoi and Lamar Holmes are future projects. This draft could be closer to a D- or A when all is said and done, but right now, it settles right in the middle. I'll allow it.

Discuss the 2012 draft, and where you think it will stand a few years from now when we can properly evaluate it.
