The moment of glory is here at last. Football has returned, no ifs or buts about it.

The 2012 Atlanta Falcons season kicks off against the Kansas City Chiefs, a talented team ravaged by injuries in 2011 and just returning to strength now. If the Falcons are for real in 2012—which would mean the offense is clicking on all cylinders under Dirk Koetter and the defense is much better at getting pressure and forcing turnovers than it was under Brian Van Gorder—then they have to win games like this. Have to.

Falcons Inactives

QB Dominique Davis, S Charles Mitchell, CB Robert McClain, G Joe Hawley, T Lamar Holmes, DE Lawrence Sidbury and DE Jonathan Massaquoi.

Chiefs Inactives

CB Brandon Flowers, FS Kendrick Lewis, NT Anthony Toribio, QB Ricky Stanzi, RB Cyrus Gray, TE Steve Maneri and DE Allen Bailey.

So this ought to be a great game. If you're feeling up to it, head over to Arrowhead Pride to talk with Chiefs fans, but remember to be courteous. It's The Falcoholic way.

GO FALCONS!
