We're almost there, folks. The first weekend of the regular season is upon us, and the Falcons will be shipping out to Kansas City for a Sunday afternoon matchup at Arrowhead Stadium.
It appears that injuries could play a big role in Atlanta's first game. The Chiefs have multiple players in jeopardy of missing out on the regular season opener. Defensive tackle Anthony Toribio, defensive lineman Allen Bailey, safety Kendrick Lewis and linebacker Jovan Belcher all missed practice on Thursday. Linebacker Derrick Johnson, cornerback Jalil Brown and cornerback Brandon Flowers were limited in their participation.
Those are some key names among the Kansas City defense. Fortunately for the Falcons, Jason Snelling and Christopher Owens both practiced in full, so it's looking like they have a leg up in this department.
I've already given my rundown for this one earlier in the offseason, so now I want to hear what you guys think. The Falcons are projected favorites, clearly have better weapons on offense and won the last time these two teams met. What more could you want? Honest opinion, no bias, who do you think wins on Sunday? Okay, I won't judge you if there's a little bias.
