He's baaaaaaaack. Sure, he didn't really go anywhere. But he did manage to win back his job after losing it last season. The Falcons released a depth chart today without much fanfare. And guess what? Reynolds is slated as the starter at right guard - for now. Yasinskas doesn't think we should read into it too much.
Let’s keep in mind that the depth chart is unofficial and we won’t know for sure until Sunday whether Reynolds or rookie Peter Konz will get the start. Coach Mike Smith has said he’s not naming a starter at right guard (or several other positions) because he doesn’t want to give an opponent a competitive advantage. Just curious, does anybody think the Kansas City Chiefs really care if they see Reynolds or Konz?
Although I hate to admit it, Yasinskas has a point. There's no appreciable difference between Konz and Reynolds; not yet at least. Konz is more athletic, while Reynolds has the size advantage. Reynolds has some experience, but Konz has far more potential. I highly doubt Kansas City's preparation will change given today's "announcement."
