The time has come at last, my friends. We must stand up against the aristocracy of awful analysis, poor punditry and terrible Theismanns.
Obviously, Warren Sapp provided us with the latest example of talking heads talking out of parts of their body that are most assuredly not their heads. He predicted the Falcons would lose 41-0 to the Chiefs. Picking the Chiefs to beat the Falcons, while ultimately incorrect, would not have been egregious. Picking the team with Matt Ryan, Julio Jones, Roddy White, Tony Gonzalez, Michael Turner, Jacquizz Rodgers and Harry Douglas to get shut out by a team missing two of its best defensive players? That was downright awful.
Use this space to nominate entrants to our punditry watch, which we'll hold up for your good-natured ridicule next week.
Please note that this will not include well-informed but ultimately misguided predictions and analysis from folks who actually know what they're talking about. I'm sure you can appreciate the distinction.
Now, let's get down to the nominations.
