If the name rings a bell, it should. He's our new QB coach and he's doing a darn fine job. Darn fine! Meanwhile, while Nolan and Koetter get all the attention, nobody is paying attention to him.
This Q and A is the most we've heard from him lately. And that's not abnormal. I recognize that. After all, he is the quarterbacks coach. If things are going well, he won't get any attention. He knows how the Falcons roll, because he's been with the team for five years now.
But don't underestimate Thomas. He's steadily risen through the coaching ranks. I'm not saying he's the brightest young football coach around, but the Falcons clearly saw something in him when they didn't look outside the organization after Bob Bratkowski's departure. They're trusting him with Matt Ryan, and that means something.
