A little over a month ago, I asked you all who you thought would win the fifth receiver battle between Kevin Cone and Drew Davis. In the month since then, nothing has shaken my faith in those two as the sole options.

Players like Michael Calvin and Tim Toone have some upside, but Davis and Cone have had a year to absorb the offense and have the coaching staff's attention already. Calvin and company will get a chance a year from now, more than likely, but this is Cone and Davis time.

The only question at this point is who will win the position battle, and that's a question that has yet to be answered. Cone is a receiver with exceptional athleticism and a history of impressing the coaching staff when it counts. Davis may be the better special teamer, and he was half a foot away from having a damn impressive catch from Matt Ryan in the last game. It's safe to say it's pretty close to neck-in-neck.

I still say Cone wins this particular battle, as I have since the end of the 2011 season. What do you think, though?
