Unfortunately Bradie Ewing's first pro season has already come to an end. The Atlanta Falcons announced their rookie fullback will miss the entire 2012 season with a knee injury.

Ewing went down in the first half on a special teams play, and was carted off the field after being attended to for several minutes. His ominous departure on Thursday night did not bode well for his chances this year, and the thought of an ACL injury on everyone's mind was confirmed today.

Mike Cox now will be relied on to man the fullback position. He's fully capable of doing his part to help the offense. It's sad, though, to see another FB go down for the Falcons. All of you surely remember Ovie Mughelli's knee injury last year.

The rookie already has an optimistic outlook on his situation. The kid has been known as a hard worker ever since he walked on at Wisconsin, and I know I speak for everyone in saying we wish him the best in his recovery.
