How important is it for the offensive coordinator to believe in the franchise quarterback? That is the question we're posing tonight. Apparently Koetter is fond of Ryan - in fact, he thinks Ryan is a top ten quarterback. Take that Jaws!
"How he’s won as a starter in the league, we think he’s a top 10 quarterback," Koetter said. "His play backs that up."
Let's be honest, Ryan isn't deaf or dumb. He knows how the media perceives him. But on some level, it matters what Koetter thinks. He wants Koetter to like him; and he wants to like Koetter. I mean, imagine you were Ryan. You struggled to distinguish yourself under Mike Mularkey's rule. And now, like some kind of Vishu-sent gift from Unicorn Land (it's a magical place), a vertical threat-minded OC drops into your lap. That is some exciting stuff.
So what do y'all think? Are they getting along? How important is it that they get along?
