You wouldn't think so. I figured they'd focus on immediate value and other, more pressing needs. But alas, as if we haven't learned to expect the unexpected, The Comrade is back at it!
Shenanigans galore y'all!
The Green Bay Packers will host University of Delaware All-American offensive lineman Gino Gradkowski, Scout.com’s Aaron Wilson has learned.
Gradkowski is the brother of NFL quarterback Bruce Gradkowski. Gino Gradkowski (6-foot-2, 300 pounds) started eight games at guard and three games at center for the Blue Hens. He has visited the Baltimore Ravens and Tennessee Titans, is set to visit the Jacksonville Jaguars and Indianapolis Colts next week, and will visit the Green Bay Packers and Atlanta Falcons the following week.
Many "draft experts" have him rated as the top interior lineman coming out of a small school, though PFW says he isn't worth taking before the end of the 7th round. I doubt he will go early, as his size - or lack thereof - is a cause for concern. He's probably too small to play tackle at the next level, but he could be a long-term answer at right guard.
Don't take this the wrong way. The team works out players ad nauseum during the pre-draft period. But something about this guy has Falcons football written all over it.
