Falcons Quote(s) of the Day: Former/Current Falcons Anti-Concussion

Concussions are bad. Mmmmkay?!

Outdated and largely irrelevant South Park humor aside, Buddy Curry and Matt Bryant testified before the Georgia legislature today. Don't worry y'all, they're not being investigated, at least not insofar as I can tell. Instead, they were speaking in support of a bill that requires concussion management and education at the prep level.

"I remember coming off the field in a daze," said Curry, who played for the Falcons from 1980-87. "I was trying to find out which sideline was my own[ ... m]y only thought was to get back on the field."

"The most important thing in all of this, anything that you can do to improve the safety for the kids, to me, you find a way," Bryant said.

Any good publicity is fine by me. And to be frank, it's a great cause. Coincidentally, President Jackson and Kevin Cone were also present. They weren't asked to speak, but let's be honest, we all know why they were there: run blocking! Don't get in the way of anti-concussion activists, otherwise they'll move ya out of the way.

Discuss.
