The Falcons roll into Sunday riding a three-game win streak, with more momentum now after defeating the Saints on Thursday Night Football. This week they get a shot at redemption, and by that I mean playing better than they did last time against the Panthers, even though they did win that game.
Tampa faces a Philadelphia squad that continues to spiral downwards. Bryce Brown is playing lights out, aside from the fumbles, so the Buccaneers run defense will need to lock down on the rookie runner. New Orleans takes on the reigning Super Bowl champs, but the Giants don't appear to be in peak December condition quite yet.
We have a special guest picker this time. Greg Hardy was kind enough to give us his picks, although I'm not sure he fully understands the rules here. Take a look at our selections for Week 14.
Now we know Greg already thinks the Panthers are a better team, but somehow he expects them to beat everyone in the NFC South this week. I don't know, I didn't ask questions.
We regulars all believe the Falcons and Bucs will pull of victories on Sunday. Both teams have favorable matchups. Cam Newton and the crew barely defeated the Eagles two weeks ago, and then suffered defeat last week to an inspired Chiefs team. A huge win for a franchise in agony, we'll keep that Kansas City game out of the discussion.
Carolina did all that it could last time against Atlanta, and still managed to lose. I'll take the Falcons, without hesitation.
The Saints-Giants game should be fun to watch. New York beat down Green Bay in Week 12, then turned around and lost by one to Washington. I'm waiting for Eli Manning to take over like we've seen in the past. The Saints defense should help.
Who are you taking in this week's slate of games?
