William Moore was named the NFC Defensive Player of the Week after his outstanding performance against the Saints this past Thursday night. Moore finished Week 13 with 13 tackles, two interceptions and two tackles for loss, arguably his best game during his tenure in Atlanta.
After the game the majority of Falcons fans, at least from what I say, voted Willy Mo as the player of the game. This is his first player of the week award, making him the first Atlanta defender to take home the honors since Brent Grimes back in 2010.
Per the Falcons stats, C4 Moore leads the team with 105 tackles in 2012. We've seen him progress since entering the league in 2009, but he is really stepping up this season in Mike Nolan's defense.
Moore is set to become an unrestricted free agent at the end of the year. The Falcons aren't exactly loaded with cap space right now. However, bringing back Moore will presumably be one of the main priorities when the offseason rolls around.
Remember that play? Yeah, I'd like him to stick around past 2012. Congrats to No. 25 for his first major recognition in the NFL.
