Atlanta Falcons cornerback Dunta Robinson went back into the locker room after a collision with wide receiver Doug Martin and is being evaluated for a possible concussion, according to various tweets. The team announced Robinson is out for the rest of the game with a head injury.
It is a head injury but whether or not it is a concussion is unknown. The nine-year veteran is one of the leaders of the Falcons defense, and if he can't return, it will be a big loss for the team. This is exactly what teams already in the playoffs are afraid of, seeing one of their major contributors go down in the final week of the regular season.
Robinson has 80 tackles, one forced fumble and one interception this season. Robinson's back up on the right side of the defense is Chris Owens and the Falcons also have Robert McClain and Dominique Franks as backup cornerbacks.
The Falcons are the No. 1 seed in the NFC Playoffs and the NFC South champs.
