Matt Ryan has filled his cupboard with accolades and achievements, and he's only going to get more as the weeks and years roll on.
The latest? Ryan tied a franchise record, tossing his 28th, 29th, 30th and 31st touchdown passes in the first half of the Lions game. Once more, we got to see the fireworks this offense can produce when it's firing on all cylinders, and Ryan equalled the great Steve Bartkowski tonight, certainly not for the last time.
It also cements Ryan's legacy with this football team. Over five seasons, he has set multiple franchise records already and is gunning for Steve Bartkowski and Chris Chandler in the rest of the categories. Throwing 31 touchdown passes and well over 4,000 yards with one game to go seems like something less than completely momentous, and that's a testament to how good Ryan has been. He's set our expectations high.
Let's take a moment to enjoy the fact that this man is the Falcons' quarterback. We're lucky, and the Falcons have been lucky, as well.
